Adult and Teen Classes

Prenatal Yoga: This is a gentle, safe and nurturing practice for all expectant moms. This class is designed to help you meet the challenges of your changing body during this miraculous time of your life and to help prepare you for childbirth by cultivating your capacity to breath freely, release tension and relax deeply. All levels welcome.

TeenYoga for Young Adults ages 12 – 15: In a positive environment, traditional yoga postures (asanas) and breathing practices (pranayama) will be taught to help teens in all aspects of their lives. This is a time to get in touch with your truest self in a safe, non-competitive environment. Yoga is great for improving mental focus, posture, strength and flexibility. Also benefits ones performance in other sports and activities.

Pilates:

A very beautiful and inspiring yoga session, this class is offered to all levels. Set in a studio completely illuminated in candles, with music carefully selected, and herbal tea served at every session, this class is designed to let you learn to let go of stress, massage your entire spine and improve posture and flexibility. Bring a friend and let this be your “Ladies night out.”

Candlelight Yoga:

Kripalu & Restorative Yoga: A blend of moderate level Kripalu and restorative yoga. Each class includes breath work, asanas, meditation and relaxation. Join this Friday morning class to complete your week.Classic Pilates exercises taught to you in a straight forward, easy to understand manner. If you’re looking for a powerful workout that builds strength and balance, giving you a long, lean bodyline—you’ve found it. This no-impact, no equipment workout will help you develop flexibility and strength, and build long, lean muscles.

MindBody Hatha Yoga : Beginner class will focus on the basic teachings of Hatha yoga, including pranayama (breath work), asanas (postures) and relaxation techniques. Classes are instructional in nature. You will learn the foundation for building your yoga practice. Each class is intended to bring a sense of peace and well-being to your body, mind and spirit. Mixed level is a more energetic approach for endurance, strength and flexibility. A thoughtful explanation of the body and precise movement into asanas (postures) allows advanced students & beginners to enjoy this yoga practice.

Sunrise Yoga / Mixed Level: Start your morning with a salute to the sun and a stretch to your health and well-being. This class will help you bring a positive attitude into your day. Classes are appropriate for all levels.

LunchBreak Hatha Yoga : Take a midday break from the stresses of the workday. This class is designed for all levels of student. You will learn techniques to reduce stress, improve stamina and increase your attention and focus. Return to work refreshed and renewed.

Gentle/Restorative Yoga: The focus of this class will be on relaxing and balancing the body, mind and spirit while reducing stress and improving flexibility. Gentle stretches, supported postures, breathing techniques and meditation will be practiced. For beginner and experienced students who want a gentle, nourishing practice.

New Moms and Children’s Classes

Postnatal YogaFun™ for Moms and Babies ages 6 weeks to almost crawling: These baby friendly classes will help you get back into shape, reduce upper body tension and lower back pain while brining a calmer approach to your day. Classes will include yoga postures, breathing exercises, baby bonding exercises, and infant development practices you can do with your baby anytime, anywhere. Mom’s may attend with or without baby.

YogaFun™ for Mom’s and Babies almost crawling – 24 months: These baby friendly classes will help to strengthen your body and reduce stress. Little ones will discover yoga through repetition, songs and play. Classes will include yoga postures, breathing exercises, baby bonding exercises, and toddler development practices you can do with your baby anytime, anywhere.

YogaFun™ for Children ages 3 - PreK : Children will learn yoga while using their imaginations through yoga postures, games, songs and art. Yoga helps build children’s self esteem, improve concentration and memory, reduce stress, encourage creative thinking and more.

YogaFun™ for Children grades K – 2: Yoga poses and mindfulness of the body and breath will be linked with songs, rhymes, stories, art and the natural environment to cultivate flexibility, strength, balance, concentration and creativity. We will tap into the child’s natural curiosity and openness to experience yoga joyfully with each class ending with guided visualization, meditation and/or relaxation.
